My Favorite Times of Year to go to Disney World

International Flower and Garden Festival

Hello, and welcome (or welcome back)!

I hope everyone is doing well and feeling safe, healthy, and happy :).

On this week’s blog, we are going to talk about some of my favorite times to visit Disney World in Florida. I have been to Disney World between 15 and 20 times in my 24 years of life, and I have never had a bad time. I’ve always had fun with my family and my friends, and even with myself on my solo trip. One of the things I enjoy most about getting to hit the parks is going when there is a theme going on at Disney. Disney offers a lot of cool festivals that showcase more than a regular day at the park would.

Allow me to elaborate….

  1. Festival of the Arts at Epcot: I got to attend this festival for the first time last January! It was a lot of fun, and it has so many treats for art, food, and Disney lovers. At the World Showcase in Epcot, most if not all of the countries have special edition cuisines that showoff their homeland’s delicacies during the festival. In Italy, they had this custom chicken parmigiana ball with pomodoro sauce. In addition to the food, they also have live artists present their artwork! My friend and I met some really cool and talented people, and I even got to buy a painting of the Muses from Hercules. I must admit that one of my favorite parts of this festival was the giant chocolate chip cookie shaped like a painting palette, with red, yellow, and blue frosting on top. This Festival is held from January to February.
  2. Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival: I love, love, love this festival! Epcot does an amazing job of creating flower sculptures of Disney characters and placing them throughout the park. During the festival, the garden aspect of Epcot really holds its own, and is just as essential to the park as the rides and food are. I have been to this festival a few times, with my friends and family, and I have been so happy each time. This festival is held in the spring/summer from March to July. I will say that since this festival is held during the spring and summer, the prices might be elevated, and the crowd-sizes might be increased as well.
  3. December in Florida: While I have never been to Disney in December, I have been to Florida visiting family in December, and it is lovely. It’s not too warm, and it’s not too cool, and you’ll feel comfortable in a light jacket walking around. If you go to the parks during this time, it will be crowded and high priced, but nothing beats the decorations for the holidays at Disney 🙂

Thank you for reading! Let me know in the comments what time of year you like going to Disney.

Until next time….

Stay safe and stay magical!
