Hello, and welcome (or welcome back)!
I hope everyone is doing well and feeling safe, healthy, and happy :).
This week continues the Park Spotlight series, where I spotlight 5 areas of Disney World in Florida and tell you my favorite things about them. I have been to Disney Springs, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom, but I have yet to venture to Hollywood Studios (I do plan on going very soon…). For ‘Hollywood Studios’ week, I will detail what I am looking most forward to about that park.
Let’s dive in!
The Magic Kingdom. I feel like the Magic Kingdom is quintessential first image that pops into everyone’s mind when they think of Disney World. Between the castle and the fireworks, it simply screams “magic.” While Magic Kingdom is not my favorite park, it is still a fun and enchanting place to spend the day!
Food: There are so many different food options at Magic Kingdom that you’ll be hard pressed to find something you don’t like. You can definitely choose an unforgettable meal with the characters or with an incredible view of the park, but for me personally, I like the food establishments that are low-maintenance. Give me a place that serves chicken strips and fries on a plastic tray, and i’m your gal 😊. I would definitely check out Pinocchio’s Village Haus!
Shopping: There are a ton of “gizmos and gadgets a-plenty” at Magic Kingdom! But if I could make a suggestion…don’t focus all of your time with shopping at Magic Kingdom. There is so much to see and do, and in my experience, the stores tend to be an overcrowded mess in this particular park. If you do want to shop, try looking for a pin trading post to find something really unique (The Chapeau on Main Street is my favorite).
Nighttime Entertainment: Raise your hand if you came for the fireworks 🙋🏾♀️ I know the spectacular nighttime display is not happening right now, but when it does come back, take the time to schedule it into your evening plans. The show tells a great story, and it is an enchanting enough show to capture the attention of everyone in your party.
My recommendation: Take the time to really enjoy the park. Take some pictures, ride the rides, meet characters…soak it all in. Do what you can and don’t stress if you don’t get to everything. It is a REALLY big place. Just enjoy spending the day at Disney’s most iconic park 😊
That is my take on Magic Kingdom! Make sure to check back next week for my deep dive into Hollywood Studios!
Until next time….
Stay safe and stay magical!
Ashley, MCT
