Hello, and welcome (or welcome back)!
I hope everyone is doing well and feeling safe, healthy, and happy :).
This is the final installment of the Park Spotlight series, where I spotlight 5 areas of Disney World in Florida and tell you my favorite things about them. I have been to Disney Springs, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom, but I have yet to venture to Hollywood Studios (I do plan on going very soon…). This week is ‘Hollywood Studios’ week, and I am so excited detail what I am looking most forward to about that park.
Let’s dive in!
Ah, Hollywood Studios! In previous years, my family would always skip Hollywood Studios because we found it to not be as interesting as the other parks and not as ride-forward as Magic Kingdom, for example. Now however, Hollywood Studios has been revamped to include not one, but TWO all new aspects: Star Wars Land and Toy Story Land. These additions really illuminated the park in a new and interesting way, and I think it gave Hollywood Studios the realignment that it needed.
Food: Researching the different types of restaurants they have at Hollywood Studios was a lot of fun for me! From what I could tell off of Disney’s website, Hollywood Studios has a vast variety of food establishments, ranging from quick service to sit-down dining. Everything looked good to me, but a place I am really excited to try is the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. The tables are setup like cars and there is a big screen inside the restaurant just like a real drive-in. The menu has classic favorites, like hamburgers and other sandwiches. I can’t wait to try this place out!
Shopping: Now if you have been following this series, you know that I am not big on buying merch inside the park. Just my personal preference (if that’s your thing, that’s great!). However, I will be making an exception at Hollywood Studios, since I have never been here before. I will be shopping and checking out the various shops that Hollywood Studios has to offer. While I was browsing the Disney website, I found a shop that I wanted to try called “Mickey’s of Hollywood Shop.”
Attractions: Growing up, whenever I heard about the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, it always scared me to death. But as a grown up, I am pretty excited to try it! This ride, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Rails, and Toy Story Mania! are on my “must try” list.
In Conclusion: Hollywood Studios is one of the main elements of Disney World that I have yet to try, and I am excited to dive right into all the greatness that it offers!
That is my take on Hollywood Studios, and the end of this series!
Until next time….
Stay safe and stay magical!
Ashley, MCT
